BJÖRN BORG AW 2012 COLLECTION BIG BANG OF CONTRASTS
Björn Borg’s main line of underwear explores space travel and new discoveries this autumn. At the same time, it is a tribute to Japan, both for their fantastic mobilisation around recent natural disasters and for their futuristic and environmental research. Crossing the cold look of space – futuristic, minimalistic, graphic prints – with warm and traditional Japanese expressions like blossoms, traditions and hand painted prints, this collection is a big bang of contrasts.
New for this season is the special edition Cut the Crap, which is a number of products made from Björn Borg’s own waste. The brand re-uses fabrics from previous seasons, giving them a brand new look through spicy new print combinations. Two different prints are combined in each product.
The Sport underwear collection focuses on extreme sports with high speed, dynamics and space outfits. It expresses the sharp metallic and futuristic feeling of outer space. Parts of the Sport underwear line offer active sport garments in high tech material for active people.
Björn Borg underwear for him come in a number of models, including tight shorts in different leg lengths, casual shorts with a loose fit, woven boxers and the so called power short, with a special pouch for the package – giving support and keeping body parts apart for a fresher feel. Materials being used are cotton stretch as well as woven cotton/poplin and a polyamide stretch for the sportier and soft exclusive looks in the Originals line for the classic man.
Björn Borg underwear for her offers modern pieces in a variety of models; hipsters, mini-shorts, string and hot-pants as well as the new line of bras included in the Love All and Love All Lace product lines – young collections in a wide range of colors.
The AW12 collection will be available in select stores and through www.bjornborg.com as of mid August 2012.
